Getting Older and Other Miscellenae
As of today, I’m now the ripe old age of 31 — an age which most of us never dreamt about as kids. Self-included — 31 felt a long way off and suddenly its on the doorstep proclaiming itself. The good thing at least is that I can still pass for 25 🙂
In other news, I’ll be attending both the Kundiman Asian American Poetry Retreat and the Idyllwild Summer Poetry Program. It will be a busy but rewarding July. I may simply stash a second suitcase at my door in preparation for my return — I’ll barely get back from Kundiman before I’ll be in the car driving to Idyllwild.
And lastly, this quarter is already half-way done! I’m getting a little worn out from classes and definitely ready for a summer of reading and writing on my own pace. I also need to sit down and make my revisions for my paper on Hillman’s “Cascadia” — a number of people have been pushing for me to get it out and published. Now if I could just manage a decent block of uninterrupted time.
Anyway, back to last minute writing for my classes this morning.
